Did Twitter Progressive @Shoq Illegally Record Phone Calls?

TRENCHES EXClUSIVE

Based on materials I’ve received from a well-known conservative activist, I have seen credible evidence that pompous Twitter progressive @Shoq aka Shoq Value aka Matt Edelstein appears to have bragged to members of his inner circle about making at least one illegal recording of a phone call. Shoq does not appear to claim to have done this for any legitimate political or journalistic purpose whatsoever. My source also indicates that Edelstein makes a number of shocking claims, including some that tie him directly to the Obama presidential campaign.

Shoq is a well-known progressive new media activist whose Tweets are often featured on The Huffington Post. He is also one of the main forces behind The Stop Rush Project, aimed at censoring conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. Based on the material I was given, it seems that Shoq / Edelstein — who lives in Florida — violated the state’s wiretapping law; Fla. Stat. ch. 934.03. According to the Citizen Media Project:

Florida’s wiretapping law is a “two-party consent” law. Florida makes it a crime to intercept or record a “wire, oral, or electronic communication” in Florida, unless all parties to the communication consent. Florida law makes an exception for in-person communications when the parties do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the conversation, such as when they are engaged in conversation in a public place where they might reasonably be overheard. If you are operating in Florida, you may record these kinds of in-person conversations without breaking the law. However, you should always get the consent of all parties before recording any telephone conversation and any in-person that common sense tells you is private. In addition to subjecting you to criminal prosecution, violating the Florida wiretapping law can expose you to a civil lawsuit for damages by an injured party.

I am told that the conversation or conversations were private and did not take place in a public location.

Last night on Twitter, I did an informal poll of conservatives and asked them if they would repudiate one of their own who intentionally violated the law. Almost every one said that principles mattered to them and that they would not accept such an action, even from one of their.

Let’s see if the progressive left holds themselves to such a standard.

I will contacting Shoq for a response via Twitter.

Not at all surprising, if this is correct. These ‘Progressives’ (better known as far-Left neo-Commies who desire a one-Party system controlled by THEM) are using whatever methods necessary (the ‘end justifies the means’ philosophy) to get their way. They’ve turned away from this Republic’s Constitution, preferring to CHANGE it to suit their ideology.

This @shoq creature strikes me as the sort of ‘guy’ who sat in his early-years schoolyard, unattended by his fellow classmates, studiously and methodically pulling the wings off of flies, occasionally popping one of his own boogers in his mouth.

Oh yeah, that’s an intelligent comment. Btw what does your name mean?

This is the most juvenile thing I’ve ever seen.

Stop passing notes like children, just man up and ask Shoq out on a date already!

LMAO: “I did an informal poll of conservatives and asked them if they would repudiate one of their own who intentionally violated the law” Now informally poll their feelings about George Zimmerman.

      Zimmerman didn’t violate the law.

You know what’s juvenile? Buying into the BS like you have.
