Listen To The Maryland Miscarriage: Confused Judge Sends Blogger Off In Cuffs
This past Tuesday was the Maryland Miscarriage, where the First Amendment was turned on its head by a lying felon and judge who doesn’t understand computers. The outrage happened when Speedway Bomber Brett Kimberlin abused the Peace Order process designed to protect abused women and other people with genuine complaints of harassment and used it to send blogger Aaron Walker to jail.
The crime Walker committed? Telling the truth about Brett Kimberlin. Today, audio from that hearing was released and you have to hear it to believe it.
As Investor’s Business Daily wrote in an excellent summary of the hearing published Tuesday:
…the judge granted Kimberlin’s peace order, and Walker ended up leaving in handcuffs. (If you want to know why Kimberlin is a story, go here.)
This was the second peace order that Kimberlin has filed against Walker, demanding that Walker cease any contact with Kimberlin. In it, Kimberlin claims that Walker has “continually harassed” him with “alarming posts, tweets, alerts that arrive in my email box, which I consider threats to me personally and to my business.” Kimberlin came to court with pages upon pages of threatening emails and tweets that he claimed had resulted from Walker’s blog posts about him. None of them, though, were sent by Walker.
While talking with Kimberlin and his associate Neal Rauhauser, a woman who was a victim’s assistant for Kimberlin came out of the courtroom and said that Walker had been led away in handcuffs.
Here’s the audio from that hearing; it defies logic, law and common sense. Listen to how Judge Vaughey ignores facts, doesn’t understand the internet, lets Kimberlin lie with impunity and then chastises a frustrated Walker for actually daring to bring up relevant case law.
This is stunning and if you’re ever written, tweeted, posted on Facebook or blogged it could happen to you.
