I am not a church going man, but I AM a God fearing man, I guess you could say. I can’t quote scripture, I can’t elaborate on the more subtle lessons of the Bible if I tried. But, I do know God exists, and I do know that we, as humans, were granted indelible rights through His grace, and that our Founding Fathers were dead on by saying we were (endowed) with “inalienable rights… by our Creator”.  I’m sure that will get me a checkmark in somebody’s kook box, but I could care less, really.

So, imagine my not-so-surprise, when strange stories stories started coming out of Charlotte this week, about a curious framework through which some messaging was being employed by the DNC. First, this fun little nugget from ABC News. The lede for this particular post pretty much says it all: For Democrats, there is no God in 2012 — at least as far as the party’s platform is concerned.

The article goes on to say how the term “God-Given” was removed from the party platform for the entirety of the DNC. So, mostly typical noise from the Democrats of the last four years. Now, the REAL fun part is when the clip you’ll see below started getting some exposure (I found it mostly on Twitter):

Even though it’s brief, it’s apparently the answer as to what the Democrats *hope* to replace God with…and that is Government. I literally had to restrain myself from throwing something when I heard that kindly old man mutter the words “The Government Is the Only Thing We All Belong To”. Excuse me, I’m gonna go all caps locky on you here.

THE GOVERNMENT IS THE ONLY THING WE ALL BELONG TO?!?!  ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?

Shorter that message: You, The People, should be subservient to the All-Mighty… Government.

*Shivers*

But, again, I suppose it’s not too surprising, because in the clip you’ll see below, the star of “That Broccoli is RACIST!”, Toure, shows how the hipster left is also seeing the world through this polarized, and incorrect, paradigm.  This clip is from last week.

Now, the real funny part is the scorn and derision cast at the right, when we happen to bring up the subject that it sure seems like the left is damn near wholly communist these days. Terms like “RED SCARE 2.0!” and “IGNORANT” and “REACTIONARY” get tossed at us daily.

But, y’know, funnily enough, Karl Marx himself seems to be in wholehearted agreement with all of the evidence above:

“The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions.”

Just sayin’.

Well, it appears the DNC wised up to the idea that denouncing God is probably going to turn a lot of people off. Regardless, they still BOOED the re-adding of God and the city of Jerusalem into the platform on Wednesday afternoon. See for yourself below:
