Description
This post is going to VERY inside baseball, so if you haven’t followed the Twittergate/Weinergate/Swattergate stories, or the events that occurred around the time of Andrew Breitbart’s death, don’t even bother reading this. It’s all a waste of time that you’ll never get back.
No one cares much about Twittergate/Weinergate/Swattergate anymore, but this post is FUBAR-worthy because of the sheer kookiness of most of the people involved, and it should be part of the record. I was called a few months ago by some moron who referred to himself as Jeffrey Joy. He claimed that he ran a business named Vested Protection Systems and began asking me questions about people I knew or knew of. I played stupid and Jeff began to squawk like a bird with a really horrible New Jersey accent. However, as the screencap above shows, Jeff Joy works a full-time gig with a Freedman Accounting CPA, so Vested Protection Systems must be his moonlighting gig. A Google search makes it seem like Vested Protection Systems is run out of someone’s pickup truck.
Before I continue, a little backstory is in order. When Mandy Nagy AKA @liberty_chick lost some favor with Breitbart last year (seems she went from a monthly salary to a per-post writing gig, according to people she worked with), Mike Stack of the Weinergate/Swattergate story got more and more of Andrew’s ear which culminated in Stack ushering “Zapem” (real identity known, but keeping it under wraps for now) in the back door, so to speak, to communicate with Andrew about everything from Twittergate to Weinergate, and all things Neal Rauhauser. Zapem has an unhealthy obsession with Neal, in my opinion, as does Stack. Imagine a cat lady with posters of Neal all over her house - it’s something like that. She’d talk to you for 24 hours straight about Neal if you let her.
It must also be said that Nagy poached almost all of “her” research about Rauhauser from Zapem. I’ve seen Nagy’s “research” document that was shared with others in the Breitbart sphere and compared it to Zapem’s original Twittergate document. This swiping of research without any attribution led to a perpetual cat fight between Zapem and Nagy. Nagy used Zapem’s research to help solidify her place with Andrew, and one just has to look at her body of work outside of poaching Seth Allen’s research on Kimberlin and Zapem’s research on Rauhauser to know that Nagy doesn’t have the goods to do anything on her own. In my opinion, this caused Nagy to do anything in her power to detract and distance from these original sources so that she wouldn’t be seen as a fraudulent researcher. This part of the story deserves its own blog post for posterity.
During these post-Nagy, if you will (she was still on board, but in a lessened capacity), discussions with Zapem and Stack, Andrew supposedly shared with the cat lady crew that he was going to New York and might need some bodyguards. I don’t know why Andrew felt like his safety would be at risk in New York, unless it had something to do with Occupy Wall Street. Zapem told Andrew that the security company she worked for, Vested Protection Systems, could provide bodyguards. Thus, a very limited email correspondence began between Andrew and representatives of Vested Protection Systems. To date, I only know of 3 emails that were sent to Andrew by Vested’s representatives. Also, the legitimacy of Vested Protection System as a fulltime business is in question.
With that bit of backstory, back to the call from Jeff Joy. Joy began to ask me if I knew who Andrew Breitbart was. I told him that I didn’t know who Andrew was, because, remember, I’m playing dumb to protect people, and I don’t know who this Joy joker is. He asked me about Mike Stack, Zapem, and others. I kept pretending that I didn’t know anything or anyone. Joy asked me about emails that had been sent to Andrew Breitbart by his “employee” Michelle (aka Zapem). Jeff also claimed that he was told by Nagy that I was going to be publishing these emails and that was the purpose for him calling me. I asked him why he’d be contacting Nagy in the first place. I mean, it wasn’t “Call Mandy Nagy Day For The Hell Of It”, right? Think about it. Why would this kooky ex-cop be calling Mandy? Surely someone had worked him up into a frenzy about these emails. That’d be Zapem. Jeffrey Joy spins down a few rabbit holes including one where he’s convinced that Andrew Breitbart was murdered. As he rants to me, I’m unfazed by everything Joy says. Finally, Joy gets worked up into a psycho lather on the phone because I just keep playing dumb and disinterested with the guy. That’s when Joy started threatening me. I won’t elaborate on the threats for reasons that might not be obvious now, but I will disclose everything in due time.
At the time, I was aware of these emails that Joy was referring to, but I’d not seen them at this point. I was curious why someone would lie to present a story that I’d claimed to have possession of these emails AND that I was going to be publishing them. Even more curious is why someone I didn’t know would concoct a nonsensical story to present to me and then threaten me over these emails that I didn’t have!
Even though I’d not seen these emails at the time, my best guess is that Zapem was paranoid about my very public Twitter discussions about these emails with SWATTERICO (aka Patrick Frey, Patterico) because SWATTERICO had been threatening Mike Stack about these emails that SWATTERICO was in receipt of after Andrew died. I’d seen SWATTERICO’s correspondence with Stack. SWATTERICO is a weaselly bastard who has lied publicly on numerous occasions about having these emails, even after 5 of our team members heard him admit to having these emails and his justification for using them for his gain. How did SWATTERICO get the emails? They were addressed to Andrew Breitbart and dead men can’t send emails. Also, SWATTERICO doesn’t work for Breitbart, so he got them as a non-Breitbart associate from someone who had access to Andrew’s emails after his death. Clearly, someone from the Breitbart organization sent these emails to SWATTERICO. Does Andrew’s wife know that Breitbart employees are taking it upon themselves to send confidential correspondence intended for Andrew to non-Breitbart associates? And who deleted all those tweets to Neal Rauhauser from Andrew’s Twitter feed after he died? Does Andrew’s wife Susie know this too?
In our conference call, SWATTERICO wouldn’t name the person who gave him these emails, but he did state why. SWATTERICO said that Stack wouldn’t talk to him anymore and that he needed the contact information in the emails to reach Zapem to pressure her to convince Stack to reengage. Doesn’t that make SWATTERICO sound like a desperate stalker? I told him as much on that conference call. SWATTERICO acts like a teenaged girl in his justification to get a dead man’s email, and this dirtbag has a job as a prosector in L.A. - not kidding. I’m sure his boss would love to know all this. Ethics matter when you’re a prosecutor.
When we stated that we’d be writing about Andrew’s activity during his last night alive (maybe some people took this to mean that we had these emails sent to Andrew at that time, which we did not, and obviously these emails seemed to be gaining in importance to certain factions), Darby and Stranahan started smearing me relentlessly with some inane tack about how I was trying to ruin Andrew’s legacy. Right after this nonsense from the unambiguously cray duo, Jeff Joy had apparently called some of the Breitbaren’ts, and Darby sent me a strange text message on 06/26/2012:
If you want help getting out of a mess, let me know. If you don’t know what I mean, well nevermind. If you do know what Im referring to, then let me know if you need help. That’s all.
I’d wondered if this was about Joy’s call to Nagy, so I texted Darby back saying, “Sure. Call me.” He did. I never let on to Darby that I’d received a call from Jeffrey Joy. Basically, the takeaway was that Darby wanted me and everyone else at The Trenches to stop developing our story about Andrew’s last night. And if we didn’t concede to his wishes, we should expect more public smears and defamation (I’m sure many of you have noticed plenty of that thrown our way and now you know why). That’s called blackmail and Darby will be held to account for that. Darby continued the conversation and told me that Joy had called “a bunch of [Breitbart] people,” but he didn’t mention names other than Nagy in relation to Joy’s call.
As an aside, I called Darby out on his association with Stranahan for being such a dishonest person, and he agreed by informing me that Lee had “stolen $1000 of Americans For Prosperity’s Blogtalk ad money” for their Unambiguously Cray Duo radio show that AFP Florida had been sponsoring. Darby said that Stranahan had told him he’d not been paid by AFP, but someone from AFP had informed him that Stranahan had been paid the full $2000. Darby stated, “Lee stole that money from me, man!” In the call, Darby also admitted that he wasn’t a conservative. He said, “I’m not a conservative. I don’t know what I am. I just know that I’m against far-leftists, so I guess I’m an anti-far-leftist.” I responded by saying that left a lot of room to be a leftist and a Democrat. All of Stranahan’s transgressions against Darby didn’t matter later, however, as they continued to lick each other’s nuts publicly regarding the Occupy “documentary” that Bannon was doing. Neither Darby nor Stranahan wanted to end up on the cutting room floor. Too bad for Bannon, because now he’s forever known as the guy who didn’t heed our warnings about these leftist frauds. Anyway, Darby kept saying “OMG” with way too much upward inflection sounding like a teen girl from the valley, so I told him that he sounded like a teenaged valley girl. He got mad and hung up. To this day, Darby hasn’t once apologized for his lies about us, even after we’ve proven that we never intended to destroy Andrew’s legacy, but as Darby said, he’s not a conservative, so he’s not bound by principles of honor.
After the threats from Jeffrey Joy, the lies from SWATTERICO, and the attempted blackmail from Darby, I pressed Zapem to see the content of these emails - mostly to see if there was a protection racket scheme contained therein as Darby claimed. But I also wanted to know why Joy was so crazy about the emails. Zapem redacted some of the contact information while she was on comms with me and sent me three emails that she claims were sent to Andrew by her. Two emails were supposedly sent before Andrew died, and the third was sent the same morning that Andrew passed.
I’m in a quandary. Zapem was a source, and Stack is a former team member. They’ve both gone batshit crazy since Rauhauser has returned from his hiatus and started poking at them. I told them both that I’d protect them, but they’ve both started attacking me because I won’t let this threat of violence from Joy, a cop of 30 years, go - the whole premise of Joy’s call was dubious. And now I’m dealing with defamation and threats coming from people we once associated with. It’s getting old, and I feel like publishing these emails just to take the gas out of this entire kookwagon. Maybe I can let one cat out of the bag and hope that Anonymous does my work for me. Before I ever talked to Zapem I knew that part of her ploy was to infiltrate Anonymous. Which is funny as hell, because she’s a cat lady who claims to work as a dispatcher at a police station, and she has ZERO coding/hacker abilities. Anonymous doesn’t want or need “managers”. This was made clear when Rauahauser tried to take the role of manager within Anonymous and they summarily ran him out. So, how does Zapem figure that she’s going to infiltrate Anonymous? The emails sent to Andrew may provide some insight to that. I’ll leave the lulz right there, but Anons, if you hack my emails, just leave everything how you found it when you go!
Mike Stack has been attempting to tell others that he never told me that Mr. Joy was Zapem’s husband. I suppose old habits of him being a liar are hard to break. This is very unfortunate. Anyway, here’s an excerpt of our email exchange. It’s hard to follow his response, because half of it doesn’t make sense. However, I’ll start with my email where I call him out directly about him being the source of the information on Jeffrey Joy’s relationship to Zapem:
lol. i denied a bunch of shit when her husband called me. i have the right to take that tack when a crazy, goofy, bastard calls me and starts asking me questions about you and i don’t know who he is or how he got my number. especially when he starts threatening me. i’m not beholden to michelle’s husband for anything. unlike others in your sphere, i do what i can to protect you. and i will continue unless you cross me [bolded for emphasis, since I know he and others will read this blog post].
and for the record, the screenshot i got of the text message from mandy shows him having my email address. there was no text message from mandy that shows her sending zapem’s husband my phone number. more bullshit lies from kooky zapem.
you told me he was her husband right after he called, and you’ve been consistent in that since that day. in fact, you called me and told me within 15 minutes of his original call to me. you gonna deny that now, mike? well, are you? how are you gonna try and spin this one, buddy?she’s a liar, and she’s playing you. period. and your loyalty is blinding you. either that, or you’re in on her lies. that is to be determined. we’ll see how you answer my direct questions about your statements about her husband. that’ll be all i need. how about it, mike, did you tell me mr joy was her husband on more than one occasion or didn’t you?
After you read this and respond, please do not contact me again. [Bolded for emphasis because Stack is still emailing me.]Mandy told him ON THE PHONE that I GAVE you the emails and you were going to print them. There were no texts from Mandy. If there were, prove it.I have texts of me giving Mandys home and cell number so she could be reached. And Michelle had your number from all the Breitbart email discussions. It was because of her that I had your phone number. You also DMed it to me.So someone here is not telling the truth.I have never met Michelle or anyone of her family in person. I know nothing of any last names. All I know is that you published a document of a person’s company that now puts you on the same level as Neal. I’m not spinning anything. I assumed it was her husband [bolded for emphasis because he's admitting the Joy is Zapem's husband story] because she called me asking for mandys cell and home number. I assumed that it was her husband [bolded for emphasis] calling when she texted me ( i have the caps, once again) asking me for Mandy’s info)And because I am not nosy, and not looking to hurt friends, I do not know who anybody works for except that people are in law enforcement. And if someone is going to call and threaten someone, do I think that “Mr. Joy” sounds like a real name?Being that I do not know anything other than her first name, on purpose, then you can play all of the games that you want. You don’t know anything about me to tell me who I should be loyal to and that she’s playing me?Like I said, put it out there, Brooks. Put it out in the open and let it be known that I’m being played, along with your best theories. And I’ll provide Mandy’s stuff and ask you to provide it too.
A couple things to conclude about Mike Stack from this email exchange, first, he admits that he told me that Joy is Zapem’s husband, but then he tries to walk it back. Secondly, Stack tells me to stop contacting him, which is silly, because he’s still emailing me. He emailed me this week whining that he’s adding me to his lawsuit against Neal Rauhauser, next he emails me more threats, and in the last email today he’s telling me to “fuck off”. On Twitter he’s whining publicly about email dumps. He’s all over the map. Why are we now being attacked, defamed, and threatened by Stack and Zapem? Because some jackass named Jeffrey Joy made threats of physical violence toward me. That’s why. Impeccable logic, kooks, your sour grapes aren’t even on point. Or maybe Stack is involved in Zapem’s plot to infiltrate Anonymous.
We’ve asked Stack not to communicate with us as of yesterday, because we don’t care about their paranoid delusions about Neal Rauhauser, or their plans to take over Anonymous, but he’s ignoring our cease and desist to his detriment. Hopefully this blog post gets all the kooks to shut up and realize that they should take a vacation, move on with their lives, and leave the research to people who aren’t batshit crazy. We’re moving on from this cast of clowns.
Scripture tells us not to be blown about by every wind, and this entire cast of Godless heathens provides a perfect example of why we should heed God’s warning.
