Bill Schmalfeld: evil left-wing threat has Parkinson’s disease and uses a walker. After seeing their adversary, the Breitbaren’ts respond with: “Let’s pile on that sick man.” You know, because the Breitbaren’ts are tough like that.
Crusty leftist curmudgeon, Bill Schmalfeldt (AKA @liberalgrouch on Twitter), has been dogged in his reporting of the goofy activities of the Breitbaren’t (a Breitbaren’t is someone who wishes they were Andrew, but has zero ability to come anywhere near Andrew’s abilities - as in “they aren’t Breitbart”) crew - who don’t seem to be able to leave a tired old story alone. Most recently, William (John) Hoge, someone who wasn’t even a player in this story decides that he’s going to file charges and a peace order against Mr. Schmalfeldt for tweeting and blogging about the Breitbaren’ts. Yes, they’re lashing out reactively toward an old man with Parkinson’s disease because they don’t like the effect of what Bill’s reporting has had on their blogger tip jar donations. Seems his reporting has put a dent in their coffers.
Guess who accompanied Hoge to court. If you guessed Aaron Walker, you’d be correct! Remember, Aaron Walker was fired last year for engaging in these sorts of melodramatic activities while on his boss’ dime, but he lied to everyone publicly and said that it was Brett Kimberlin’s fault (the linked post contains a letter from Walker’s boss’ attorney which show why Walker was really fired). In retaliation against Kimberlin for his own stupidity (which included representing himself and getting arrested), Walker filed suits in federal and state. Both cases were dismissed. We wrote about those hilarious dismissals here and here.
Anyway, back to Hoge’s path down typical Breitbaren’t foolishness. Here’s one pretrial response sent from Hoge’s son via Hoge’s own blog to Mr. Schmalfeldt:
I kid you not - they sent a written response to an old man with Parkinson’s which included a picture of Hoge’s portly unkempt son cleaning his pistol. Did they think Bill was a teenager come to court Hoge’s daughter? I can’t tell if this gun pic ploy is more stupid or sophomoric. You tell me.
How to remedy this drop in donations, the Breitbaren’ts wonder? They respond thusly:
“We need controversy, dammit! Let’s get another court date so we can blog about how evil the vast left-wing conspiracy is. This way we can separate some foolish conservative bastards from their hard earned cash. After all, Pornohan just got himself some new teeth from all this, right?”
The judge hears the Breitbaren’ts collective cries and laughs. Order denied.
What does this say? “DENIED: NO CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE OF PROHIBITED CONDUCT.”
Back to the drawing board, Breitbaren’ts. What’s your next frivolous action going to be? We can hardly wait for the lulz!
