Contrasting Tweets of the Day - The Swede, Rand Paul, and Pablo Neruda the Communist Poet

My good pal Tom (@FreedomJedi on Twitter) is on the ball today. How very anti-Lagom of him. Yes, he’s Swedish.

Moments before Rand tweeted something along the lines of a used car salesman with regard to his position on illegal aliens, Tom pointed out a post by the daily caller’s Neil Munro that highlights Rand’s recent shamnesty speech wherein he quoted a “socialist poet”. I’ll take it a step further because I’m quite familiar with Pablo Neruda (in the featured BBC image above) and refer to Neruda as an outright communist. The contrast of the two tweets right next to one another couldn’t have been better placed if it had been planned.

I won’t belabor the point, because I think Rand has his brain in the right place most of the time. However, he should be rebuked for this latest faux pas.

Rand, don’t quote Latin American communists if you’re trying to sell the amnesty of historically very left-wing hispanic illegals to Americans. Shouldn’t that be obvious to someone in your position?
